Passive income can be an important chunk of change that can help you or set you up for financial independence. What is passive income?
Simply put:
Passive income is money you make by doing nothing (requires some work) and letting the money roll in. It’s different from investing actively, of course, but that’s essentially the thought.
Herein I will list ways to make passive income!
Ways to make passive income. Aka let the money come to you!
Rentals – Not just a house
Rent things out! Do you have a quad? Rent it out. Do you have a spare car? Turo! I highly recommend Turo!
A lot of people immediately think rent out a property, but get creative. Maybe you have unique tools or equipment… Rent it out! It is a great idea for extra money for things that may be sitting and collecting dust.
Breed fish – Not as easy as it sounds
Breeding fish requires a little research and a little output to get set up, but think about it. People buy fish for a variety of costs.
Find a fish that is in decent to high demand and breed it. Sell the babies and continue the process.
Create an app – Even a kitty calculator
Create a small app that does something like calculate two numbers. Make it look unique and set the price at a dollar. Even 10 buys is roughly 10 dollars. Be creative and you’ll learn a high paying skill that will be useful in the field. Computer technology companies are big on projects. From a simple calculator to a game of chess. Make something!
Collect something – Valuable hopefully
Who would have thought that paper cards with pictures of people could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
People even collect postage stamps! Find something that you are interested in and collect it. This can be dolls, rocks, coins, or other items. The more of a craze for the items, the better.
Advertising on cars –
Many of people might not think about this but putting advertisement on your car is a great way to make passive income. There are many legitimate companies that will pay you to advertise on your car for a designated amount of time. Of course they will pay the cost of putting whatever decal on your car and taking it off! It is IMPORTANT to check though to verify the legitimacy of the company.
If you’re in college full-time, this is a fantastic way to work passively to help bring in some form of money! This works for nearly anyone with a car!
Blog – About something you are passionate about

Sell a book – about anything
This is an e-book so no money needed for editing or other things.
The book can be about anything that you feel the world could learn from you. Even if you don’t think it is worth anything, write what you know and publish it on Amazon for maybe a dollar or two. You’d be surprised.
Sell pictures – Of the places you travel and the stuff you do
If you take pictures of… Well anything really, look at some of the stock photo companies. They may buy your pictures to use and you will receive some form of compensation. It’s a quick way to make a few bucks.

Vlog – FaceTime for money
Do you tell jokes or are a decent speaker? If so, Vlog your life. You have a cell phone (smartphone) that contains a microphone and video editing software. It’s all free or very cheap and requires you to be who you are. Do it with friends or family!
Dividends – semi passive
For this, you need to invest. You have to invest first to get the dividends. But if you treat the money put away as a savings account, you are good to do. Let the dividends roll in!
Certificate of deposit
CDs earn pretty good interest in most cases but this income is ONLY at the end of the term of the CD… So yeah. They’re guaranteed to have some form of return after you make your deposit.
Simple conclusion:
Passive income is great and there are many more sources! Get creative and sell art, partake in a contest or partake in many of the hundreds of other ways to score passive income. If you want passive income, go get it! Don’t let anyone stop you.
