What Credit Karma offers?

Credit score

Credit karma, upon inputting your personal information (DOB, SSN, Name, etc) will forever tell you two of the three credit scores you have. This is FREE and secure! This cost NOTHING. They offer you your Transunion score and your Equifax score (the infamous credit company). The scores WILL be different so be prepared.

The best method to use credit karma is their mobile app. It offers notifications for credit changes of all types (Up, down, credit inquiry, new balances, etc). It offers you a look into what is impacting your credit in both a positive and negative manner. It’s also a great place to learn how your credit works and see potential credit cards you have a chance of being approved for.

Taxes

Credit karma started getting into the tax business so as of 2021, you can file your taxes for FREE from the app. NO fees or money owed to credit karma. They walk you through all of the steps and it’s an easy process. We have personally used this company in 2020 and 2019 with no issues or fees.

Checking and savings

Credit karma is really about the money so they went with a FREE checking and savings account that cost nothing. It had the 3 No’s we recommend! Before COVID, it had one of the higher rates for a savings account! The checking account has a feature known as instant karma which is a potential to have credit karma refund a random purchase amount if you are selected for it. This could be at any time for any number of transactions.

The savings account has potential sweepstakes as long as you deposit a predetermined amount into your account (typically a dollar or so). Combined, these two accounts are a great asset to help you in your financial journey and the debit card is pretty nice looking!

Credit karma looks at so many things it will overwhelm you. They look at credit cards, home mortgage, auto loans, personal loans, car insurance and so much more.
